My insurance covers 3 days in the hospital after delivery, and I decided I was going to take advantage of it. I wanted to just be able to soak up every last minute of having my newborn baby all to myself without any other [3 year old] distractions. We had a few more visitors- my friends Lacie, Rachael and Kecia, as well as my sister-in-law Ashley and niece Taryn. Piper dropped to 7lb 1 oz (which made her seem like a normal weight to me). She is super alert, sucks her fingers whenever she is not swaddled, and makes the sweetest noises. She is pretty easy-going so far and hardly ever cries. The nurses told me she was a nursery favorite. Peyton visited twice a day, and her very favorite part was the food that I could order through room service. She's pretty easy to please.

Monday...
Getting her hearing checked. She passed!

Peyton loved that Lacie came by when she was visiting.

One of our nurses wrote Peyton's name on the board so she would feel special, too.

Dark picture of the hospital newborn hats that one of the nurses makes for the baby girls. Cute that she makes them a little more girly.

Tuesday...
What would we do without Noni?

Peyton was so excited to help daddy change Piper.

In this picture, I can totally tell why people say she looks like Jade

Our family of 4!

Getting ready to go home. Piper weighed 7lb. 4oz. at discharge. This was the same outfit Peyton wore home from the hospital.

Peyton had a cough, so we made her wear this mask when she held Piper. Pretty cute.

We were spoiled! My nieces and nephew made us a banner for our garage when we drove home, and put balloons in our yard, and my sison sent Peyton a HUGE big sister balloon bouquet and a gorgeous bouquet of flowers for me. And we got some beautiful flowers from our hospital visitors.
